Kaplan @ the Roselle Public Library

Hey there all you prospective test takers (I mean you, high school students)!  I thought I'd take the time to let you know about the amazing Kaplan workshops we have coming up at the Library.  Don't forget to REGISTER ONLINE, BY PHONE, or IN PERSON!!

First, on Wednesday August 29, we have ACT vs SAT.  This workshop, for parents and students both, will help you navigate the testing waters and help you to decide which test is right for you.  It will also answer questions like:
  • What is the difference between ACT and SAT?
  • What do sample questions from both tests look like?
  • What is the role that the ACT and SAT play in college admissions?
Next, on Wednesday September 19, we have Accepted: Getting into your First Choice School.  Overwhelmed with college choices? Worried about getting into your first choice? This program will help you discover the ins and outs of college admissions and help you create a plan of attack. Again, both parents and students are welcome.

Finally, on Wednesday September 26, we have Personal Statement 101.  In this workshop you will learn what colleges want to see in your college application essay. The workshop will examine the types of topics students will encounter, cover the four steps to writing a winning essay, and a critique of a sample admissions essay.

All workshops are from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., and all workshops welcome both parents and students.  Hope to see you all there!
