Celebrate Black History Month

Every February since 1976, the United States has set aside this month to celebrate the diverse cultural history of our nation with Black History Month.  This is a time to celebrate and explore!  Want to find a new author?  Want to learn more about a specific artist or poet?  Or maybe you are interested in a certain period of time, like post Civil War era, or Civil Rights?  You may even want to learn more about our nation's President, Barack Obama.  One of the best websites I've found was through the Smithsonian, and you can check it out HERE.  Whatever you are interested in, there is something for you at the Library!

Take a look at the booklist below for some new authors and maybe some inspiration!
