How cool do these look?!?
I just wanted to make sure that everyone got a chance to see the awesome paracord bracelets that we made this past Monday on Presidents' Day (remember that day off school most of you had??). It was fun, easy, and everyone walked away with something cool to wear to school the next day! If you were signed up for the program and didn't get to make it, or if you weren't signed up but now you think you would like to give it a try, don't worry...I will definitely be having this program again soon!
Can't wait for the next program? We have several books here in the Library about paracord projects that you can check out:
- Paracord 101 by Todd Mikkelsen NEW NON FICTION 746.4222MIK
- Straps, Slip Knots, Falls, Bars & Bundles NEW NON FICTION 746.4222LEN
- Knotcraft by Allan A. MacFarlan NON FICTION 623.8882MAC
Plus there are TONS of instructions online. Here is the link for a two color paracord bracelet that we used for the program! Google "Paracord bracelet" and you can find all sorts of ideas for different bracelets and projects using the paracord.
Don't know where to find it? I have seen the paracord and the buckles at several Michael's craft stores, and I can only assume that other craft stores have jumped on the bandwagon and have some on their shelves too! Take a look and see what you find! If you can't find it in a store you can definitely buy it online too! I purchased the library supplies from www.paracordonline.com, but if you can find a better discount, let me know!!
