So I know that for most of you, you can't wait for Spring Break to be here!! Not only do you get a break from the tests, the teachers, the homework, and just school in general, but you also get to break from your normal weekly routine! So you may find yourself wondering what to do wtih all this free time? What can you do that will benefit you and be a good use of your time (or maybe this is what you parents are asking!)? If you want my suggestion, and of course you do, I say head on over to the Library! We have lots of things going on, not just for the little kids either!
Monday March 25 - Teen Knits and Crochet Club - 4:00 - 5:00 pm
Thursday March 28 - Duct Tape Time - 1:00 - 3:00 pm
- For 6th -12th grade, this group meets year round on the second and fourth Monday of the month. No registration necessary, and no prior knitting or crochet skill necessary!
- For 6th - 12th grade, in this fun program the Library will provide all the duct tape, supplies, and instructions necessary for you to walk away with a crazy awesome duct tape craft. In the past we have made bookmarks, wallets, cellphone/iPod holders, hats and more! This does require registration, as this program is quite popular. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER through our online calendar!
Crafting not your thing? There are plenty of new books, audio books, DVDs and more to keep you entertained for a whole week! I just put up a new display of sports books for March Madness, the 2014 Abraham Lincoln Award nominee list is out, and even the 2014 Caudill books are available and on display. If you want a good book recommendation, try checking out the Teens Review Teens Lit
page. Don't see anything there that interests you or do you fancy yourself a budding writer of sorts? Try writing your own book review here
. You can always find something to do at the Library!
