Book Lover's Day for Teens Recommendations

First, a big THANK YOU to the teens who participated in this year's teen National Library Week program.  We had a great time talking about books, discovering new series, and chowing down on pizza!  I would also like to say Thank You to Jani's Pizza for the delicious, piping hot pizza.  Despite all the fun we were having, we still found time to come up with a list of book recommendations (in no particular order), in case you are looking to try something new.
  1. ANYTHING by John Green (seriously, ALL of his books are amazing!)
  2. ANYTHING by Ellen Hopkins (I know you're probably tired of me saying how wonderful she is, but this recommendation came from the teens, not just me!)
  3. Life of Pi by Yann Martel
  4. 172 Hours on the Moon by Johan Harstad
  5. The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein
  6. The Iron Fey Series by Julie Kagawa (Iron King is book #1)
  7. Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson
  8. Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger
  9. Zoobreak by Gordon Korman
  10. Unspoken by Sarah Rees Brennan
  11. The Good Braider by Terry Farish
  12. Showoff by Gordon Korman
  13. Beautiful Creatures Series by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl (Beautiful Creatures is book #1)
  14. Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys
  15. The Rag and Bone Shop by Robert Cormier
Click on the link to check the availability in our catalog.  If it's not on the shelf, place it on hold!  If there is no link, that's because the library doesn't own it...yet!
