READ - REVIEW - WIN!
TEEN WINTER READING!
DECEMBER 1 - FEBRUARY 14
Listen up all you 6th through 12th graders! Teen Winter Reading at Roselle Public Library is still going on! Up until FEBRUARY 14, you have the opportunity to write original book reviews for a chance to win some great prizes. Every book review you submit counts as 1 entry into the prize giveaway, to be held after the program is over, and there is no limit to the number of book reviews you can submit!
What do you need to write for a complete book review? Title, Author, AT LEAST 5 THOUGHTFUL SENTENCES without giving away the ending (the more detailed you get the better!), why you picked it up, why you finished it, and who you would recommend this book to. Simple, quick, and to the point!
What's in it for you, you might ask? PRIZES! We will be giving away free books, gift cards to Barnes & Noble, plus CANDY! I mean, who doesn't love candy, and it does wrap up on Valentine's Day! Plus, you get to tell the world about all the great books you are reading. Check out what some of your peers have already submitted HERE and find out what people are reading these days!
Not an RPLD card holder? No problem! I want to encourage EVERY TEEN to read over this winter, so if you are in 6th-12th grade, YOU CAN SUBMIT A BOOK REVIEW! This is not just a middle school thing, either! I have lots of LPHS and Conant students every year submit book reviews for a chance to win, so go ahead...read and review!
Pick up a paper book review form at the Reference Desk, in the YA area, or save a tree and go through our website to fill out our online book review form!
